Jean Liaw

 Head of Conveyancing, Construction & Contractual Dispute, Arbitration, Mediation & Adjudication


A graduate from Aberystwyth, Wales.

She was an intern in Ganesh & Co and completed her pupillage in Yae, Seng Wai & Partners under the guidance of Mr Yae.

After her pupillage, she joined as a paralegal and thereafter a legal associate in Cecil Abraham & Partners.

She was called to the Malaysian Bar on 2018.

She then joined Wilson Leong & Co as a legal associate.


She has significant experience in real estate acquisitions and dispositions and financing transactions. She represents developers, borrowers and lenders in financing transactions including mortgage loans and development of real estate. 


She also has particular expertise in representing landlords and tenants in commercial leasing transactions.

Herman Phang

 Head of Dispute Resolution, Construction & Contractual Dispute, Arbitration, Mediation & Adjudication


Herman is a dedicated and experienced

Construction Lawyer with over 5 years of

experience providing legal counsel and

consultancy services. Over the years, Herman has faced with numerous top-tier law firm in the field and is always able to bring success to his Clients without disappointment.


He is also one of the practitioners that involved in the early stage of CIPAA proceeding since the introduction of Construction Industry Payment And Adjudication Act 2012(CIPAA) in the year

of 2014. Therefore, his vast experience with CIPAA proceeding has successfully assisted his Clients in countless CIPAA claims. Herman is very focus in his practice and is always up to date in the latest development in construction

law.


As an experienced and specialised Construction Dispute Lawyer, Herman is constantly exposed to construction disputes in areas like Extension of Time Claim (“EOT”), Retention Sum Claim, Reviewing Construction Contract, Liquidated Ascertained Damages Claim and Late Certification. His advice is trusted by both the local and international brand in the construction industry.

Tan Wei Sheng

 Construction & Contractual Dispute,  Arbitration, Mediation & Adjudication 


Graduated in the year of 2019, with great

interest and passion, Wei Sheng has immediately thrown himself into the field of Construction Dispute Resolution, assisted his master in high profile cases and deal with top-tier law firm in the industry. With 3 years of experience in the field, he was exposed to vast areas of construction disputes and is always the last person who leave the office in the midnight due to his passion in construction law. He is able to work tirelessly to ensure the smoothest experience possible for his Client. 


In Wei Sheng's years of practice, he has handled numerous CIPAA Claims and often handles the drafting of EOT claim. He is also an expert in reviewing construction contract and familiar

with standard form of contract in Malaysia.

Darshika

Darshika holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) degree from Aberystwyth University and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2019, upon attaining her Certificate in Legal Practice in 2017 and completing her pupillage in Messrs Amrit & Company, having acquired valuable skills and experience in civil and corporate litigation. 


Through her significant experiences working in the e-commerce industry, Darshika brings a strategic and solution-oriented approach to legal advisory which supports business growth and sustainability. With a strong foundation in contract negotiation, statutory compliance, performance management and stakeholder engagement, she plays a key role in navigating complex legal landscapes whilst striking a balance between the best interests of parties. 


Having worked closely with executives and industry leaders, Darshika has a keen understanding of the intersection of law and business, delivering practical solutions that drive long-term success.

CHARLOTTE

 Charlotte holds an Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) degree from the University of Liverpool and an International Masters in Business Administration from Birmingham City University. She brings a multidisciplinary background shaped by experience in legal, financial, and technology sectors, having worked at leading multinational institutions and an international bank. 


 Her professional journey includes regional contract management across Asia, with a strong focus on negotiating and reviewing high-value commercial agreements in the Greater China region. Charlotte also served in a bank’s anti-money laundering (AML) team, where she developed expertise in regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and due diligence processes in the financial services industry. 


 Charlotte supports the corporate and commercial practice, particularly in matters involving cross border transactions, technology, data governance, and regulatory compliance. Her diverse industry experience enables her to offer clients practical, business-focused legal solutions with a strong grasp of operational realities and regional sensitivities 

GAN MING CHUAN

 A graduate from Multimedia University in 2021. He completed his pupilage in the year 2022 at Albert Ding, Lee and Partners. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in the same year. During pupilage, he was actively involved in general litigation matters like probate and estate disputes, debt recovery and insolvency, employment, and other disputes in the area of contract and commercial. After pupilage, he joined as a paralegal for a short period and then as a legal associate.


Construction adjudication under the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012 (CIPAA) is a new and challenging area. He is committed to putting his best foot forward in developing his skills and expertise in this field. He also looks forward to assisting clients in navigating the complexities of CIPAA disputes and contributing meaningfully to the firm’s growing construction law practice.

saiffa azween binti azmam @ azman

 A graduate from Sultan Zainal Abidin University in 2023. Early in her career, she was an intern at Messrs Zamri, Zaini & Nazliyah, where she learned the basics of conveyancing. She also did an internship at the Legal Aid Department in Penang, helping clients in divorce cases, adoption matters and Syariah-related issues. 


 She commenced her pupillage at Messrs Riswana & Co in 2024 to broaden her expertise in both civil and criminal litigation. During this period, she refined her legal drafting and research abilities, taking the lead in drafting cause papers, agreements and submissions for cases involving goods sold and delivered, debt recovery, contractual claims and commercial disputes. She was then called to the Bar in January 2025. After completing her pupillage, she then joined Liaw & Partners in 2025 as a Legal Associate, where she developed a strong professional focus on construction law, particularly under the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012 (CIPAA). Her firsthand experience with construction-related matters has greatly deepened her insight into this field.  

Nur Annisa Maisara BINTI Mat Noor

  Annisa Maisara obtained her LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of Malaya in 2024 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2025. Prior to joining the firm, she gained valuable experience at several law firms where she was exposed to various aspects of civil and commercial litigation. 


 Throughout her early journey and pupillage, she has assisted in drafting cause papers, preparing legal opinions and attending court for matters including, but not limited to, high-stakes contractual disputes and winding-up proceedings. Annisa has also been involved in several non-contentious matters, including drafting and reviewing corporate agreements. With a proactive mindset and approach, she strives to deliver practical and results-driven solutions while upholding the highest standards of professional practice and client service 


hwan mann

A graduate from Hertfordshire, UK and holds a Master in Law from Northumbria University, UK.


She was involved in general litigation matters during her pupillage whereby she has assisted in drafting cause papers, attending court for hearing and giving talks for event. 


She was exposed to various construction disputes and assisted in CIPAA 2012 adjudication claims. 


She has a strong character and always understand her client's needs through the experience of 14 years serving her clients.
